FW Lighting was chosen to provide lighting and control systems for the new Crowne Plaza hotel, Heythrop Park in Oxford.

 

 

The project was part of a 50 million investment in Heythrop Park resort that included a stunning new 18 hole golf course, leisure club and spa. Elektra low voltage lighting, plug and play "mini plug" wiring along with push and motion detection door switches were provided for the wardrobes in the 197 bedrooms. The discrete push and door motion sensors were used to operate the lighting in the wardrobes, providing immediate illumination within the wardrobes as soon as the doors were opened. Motion sensors were used where their were sliding doors which are not suitable for push operated switches.

Elektra's LD2001-7 range of long life, low energy fluorescent systems were also used to illuminate the large wine displays to the rear of the main bar. The LD2001-7 range was chosen because of it's 3year warranty against failure and the use of the mini plug, 2pole wiring system which sped up the installations process and allowed for simple plug and play connection of all the lights in the display.

Altatensione's 12v low energy commercial LED light tape was also used for the impressive glass reception desk. The LEDs were used to provide a wash of light across the large glass panel surfaces. The system, was put forward due to it's high levels of light and light dispersion and for it's low heat properties and long life attributes.
